Facebook’s parent company, Meta (about.meta.com), did not provide an immediate official explanation regarding the incident. However, some users later reported that services were gradually returning to normal on both mobile and desktop platforms.

According to technology analysts, such outages are typically caused by server configuration issues, network problems, or internal technical glitches. Similar temporary service disruptions have occurred in the past with Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

Users were advised that if they encounter problems, they should try updating the app, logging out and logging back in, or waiting for some time before trying again. In most cases, services normalize once such global technical issues are resolved by the company.
