Bangladesh Bank Buys $100 Million

Bangladesh Bank on Thursday (May 21) purchased 100 million US dollars from six commercial banks to maintain stability in the foreign exchange market.

According to central bank sources, the dollars were purchased at a rate of 122 Taka 75 poisha. In the current month of May, Bangladesh Bank has so far purchased a total of 565 million US dollars.

So far in the 2025-26 fiscal year, the central bank has purchased 6.2385 billion US dollars.
