Prime Minister Extends Eid al-Adha Greetings to the Nation

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has extended greetings to the nation and Muslims worldwide on the occasion of holy Eid al-Adha. He conveyed these greetings in a post on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday night (May 26).

In his Facebook post, the Prime Minister wrote, “The holy Eid al-Adha has once again arrived at the doorsteps of Muslims worldwide, reminding everyone of the ultimate sacrifice, the glorious guidance of piety (Taqwa), and the unique message of self-purification. On this auspicious occasion, I extend Eid Mubarak to all countrymen and Muslims across the globe.”

He further stated, “Muslims worldwide, including Bangladesh, are prepared to celebrate the holy Eid al-Adha, inspired by the glory of sacrifice. This magnificent festival of Islam is not merely a celebration of joy, but carries an eternal message of profound faith in the Creator, self-dedication, and sacrifice.”

In his post, the Prime Minister referenced the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) and his unconditional obedience to Almighty Allah, stating that this example has made Eid al-Adha profoundly significant to the global Muslim Ummah.

He prayed to Almighty Allah for peace, security, and stability for the nation and its people. Simultaneously, he also prayed for the establishment of peace, harmony, and security across the world.

Finally, the Prime Minister said, “May this holy Eid al-Adha be radiant with the glory of sacrifice. May Allah accept our sacrifices and worship, and fill our lives with peace and prosperity.”
